Dr. Cecilia Gaffaney earned her Doctor of Medicine in 1990 and moved to the United States to participate in a sub-internship at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Following the six-month sub-internship and two additional years of research, Dr. Cecilia Gaffaney completed an internship and her obstetrics and gynecology residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Cecilia Gaffaney next engaged in a three-year maternal-fetal medicine fellowship at the University of California, Irvine. Prior to assuming her current role as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist at the Obstetrix Medical Group, Dr. Cecilia Gaffaney held Staff Perinatologist positions at multiple Northern California hospitals and served as an Associate Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at two Southern California universities.
